Over the years, the congregation of St. Andrew's  Cathedral has kept its evangelistic zeal. As a result of this, several daughter churches have been planted in and around Thika Town.  Some of the “daughter” churches have risen to become independent Parishes. These include ACK Kyanjau, ACK St. Thomas Witeithie, ACK St. Luke's Makongeni, ACK Ngoigwa and ACK Mugumo-ini Churches.

St. Andrew's Church which began with one Swahili service eventually grew into a Cathedral that offers four (4) services for adults and three (3) Sunday School Services for children every Sunday. The Cathedral has eleven (11) Cell Groups that meet in the week for prayers and fellowship. In addition to the Cell Groups, the Cathedral has several active Departments   (Children, KAYO, MU & KAMA).

The transformation of St. Andrew's from a Mission Station consisting of a handful "Native Africans" worshippers who met at an incognito site in "Section 9", to St. Andrew's Cathedral serving nearly 3,000 worshippers in an imposing state-of-the- art Cathedral is an attestation of the Mighty Power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to His Name.
