Being the Central “Pillar”, of the Cathedral, Worship carries especially heavy responsibilities.

These responsibilities are held by the “Worship Pillar Committee. The Worship Committee is charged with ensuring that worship needs of the congregation are identified, reviewed and met effectively. The Committee should ensure that the worship experience in the Cathedral is of essence and that it is authentically Anglican and that it is both enriching and inclusive.

It is the responsibility of the Worship Committee to ensure that Worship in the Cathedral has room to keep growing towards Holiness and being Spirit led. The Committee coordinates and promotes the activities of worship through:

(1) Worship and Choir and Praise
(2) Intercessory Ministry
(3) Ushering and Hospitality Ministry

(i).Worship and Choir and Praise
Worship in the Cathedral is characterized by two main elements namely Worship and Choir and Praise. The Cathedral offers four (4) Adult Worship Services and three (3)

The Intercessory Ministry team plays the role of interceding in prayer before, during and after the Sunday Worship Services as well as before, during and after other Worship Services that may be held at the Cathedral during the week.

(iii) Ushering and Hospitality Ministry
Ushering and Hospitality Ministry has the role of ensuring that every service has a team that issues Sunday bulletins, welcomes visitors/keeps count on the number of worshippers for each individual Worship Service, collects offertory, provides First Aid and offers any other support services that may be found necessary.
